OK, I realize that every game has there preferred platform to play their favorite titles, but seriously, is anyone clamoring to relive their childhood memories on the iPhone/iPod touch? SEGA thinks so, and apparently deemed it a fine time to launch a classic gaming portal that’s set to arrive in the App Store in February. [...]

I have to confess that there was much internal debate regarding whether or not a site devoted to the 2D gaming scene should cover with “3D” smack dab in the beginning of its title. But alas, 3D Dot Heroes, Atlus’ upcoming PlayStation 3 throwback action game, has sold me on its retroness.

Sure, Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes has been out for a little while now but this game sure has something special to it that not many Nintendo DSi games have: replayability. I’m not done with the game yet as I got it a couple of days ago for review. However, I can tell you that this is quite possibly the best RPG/Turn-Based Strategy game I’ve played in a very long time and it has me quite addicted. What’s to love about this game after the jump.

Put quite simply, these figures kick ass. Crafted by Dodge “Grundy” Beltran, these real-life representations of Mayor Mike Haggar and a pre-emo Cody were cobbled together Frankenstein-style from parts of other action figures and combined with new moldings and fresh paint jobs. Is there anyone who wouldn’t want mass produced Final Fight figures of this [...]

It’s finally here, high-flyers. Capcom’s two decade old “lost project”, Dark Void Zero, is now available for download on DSiWare for 500 points. Dripped in 8-bit nostalgia, Dark Void Zero is the prequel to Dark Void, which will be released tomorrow on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. If you’re hesitant about pulling the [...]

Sweater vests are all the rage now in men’s fashion. So why not have one that expresses your love of old school video games? The reason why is because they don’t make them and you can’t exactly ask for one. That’s why this home brew recipe was made by a talented little lady using custom materials. By that, I mean that she dyed the yarn herself. Her instructions to make it are available at the Happy Seamstress.

The single, most vital reason why I consider myself a console gamer more than a PC gamer is the relative stiffness of the experience. When playing games such as Dungeon Fighter Online, I’m in an upright chair, tapping away at a keyboard, while staring at a monitor. It’s very much like cubicle existence, and no [...]

Those SEGA folks sure pulled a fast one. And I approve of their shenanigans. The company threw the collective gaming world for a loop with its week-long trivia contest that was designed to let blog.sega.com commenters eliminate a list of Sonic sidekicks and extras to reveal the true playable characters. After all the dust was [...]
