Captain America: The First Avenger hit theaters this week, garnering very positive reviews. To help build hype for the movie, Marvel released a Web-based flash game, Captain America: Shield of Justice, which adopts many of the cutesy, 16-bit stylistic elements found in Thor: Bring the Thunder. The game, however, feels very much like a Mega Man rehash that subs the Blue Bomber with a badly animated Captain America sprite.
Once you turn it on the first time, the rest of it is cake. In terms of sound, the device is adequate for gaming, and the range on the speakers is pretty good. Need to get up to make a sandwich, but don’t want to break the audio flow? If you use the Bluetooth setting, and provided you don’t live in a mansion, you can move to the kitchen and back without losing the connection. This weekend, MLG Anaheim served as yet another testament to Asia’s StarCraft 2 dominance as Koreans took the top six spots. Besides the East’s continued reign, another issue of concern may be the complete Terran domination that occurred during this tournament. The top four players in the tournament handled the Terran class, led by two-time Global StarCraft League (GSL) champion Mvp. Second place went to MMA, who had won MLG Columbus last month. Third and fourth places went to Boxer known as the “Emperor of Terran” in Korea, and Ganzi, of no previous fame, respectively.
