Anyone who knows me well has at one time or another endured chatter that detailed how Bejeweled Blitz is one of the most perfect and addicting games ever made. It’s “desert island game” good.

That’s why I support Popcap Games in it’s “Show Your Bejeweled Love” contest, which started on April 27th and will continue to May 26th. It’s a celebration of the Bejeweled franchise’s 10th anniversary and is open to US, UK, and Canada residents (save for the canucks in Quebec).

Here’s the skinny: Participants must submit a YouTube video illustrating or describing their undying, eternal passion for Bejeweled in two minutes or less. $5,000 in prizes will be awarded to the top 10 entries, including a limited edition notebook PC and two iPads, each with custom-designed, “Bejeweled 10th Anniversary” engravings. That’s pretty boss.

Members of PopCap Game’s art and game design teams will make up the judging committee,a nd they’ll basis their decisions on three criteria: enthusiasm, presentation and knowledge of Bejeweled.
