capcom Capcom announces Color of Conflict Contest and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom 2D shmup

Today, Capcom spilled the beans on a couple of big things for fans of their games. First up, is allowing artists to decide the colors displayed on the Final Fight: Double Impact “box” via a contest run through their website. Also, when gamers pick up Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars this month, they’ll get a couple of cool new surprises. More deets after the jump.

Artists are getting the chance to really show off what they’ve got with the Final Fight: Double Impact box in the Color of Conflict contest. Basically, all you need to do is go here, and download the black and white copy of the artwork, color it in the way you want, and submit it. The winner gets his/her art featured on the final release, and all-expenses paid trip for two to New Orleans. Once there they’ll get to take part in the Captivate event where they’ll get to play new games. On top of all this, they’ll receive a poster of their beautiful work, a free copy of the game, and “additional swag from the event.” Sounds pretty nice.

Gamers that pick up Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars will get some cool new bonus content like extra characters, and new environments like the snow-covered Lost Planet.  The most intriguing? A new 2D shooter mini-game! More details on this (and video!) are available at Capcom-Unity.
