Bank Run combines an online interactive movie with iPhone gaming
One of the most difficult and time consuming activites that a website editor does on a daily basis is tackle the press release beast. I, for example, receive dozens of very similar-sounding games and gaming accessory pitches in my inbox, with one being barely distinguishable from the next. Bank Run is not one of those games.
TimeWasters: Jetpack Attack (aka The 2D Dark Void)

TimeWasters is a column highlighting many of the excellent Web-based/lightweight downloadable titles that you can dive into and finish in the space of a lunch break. This week, Chris Gampat explores Jetpack Attack.
While you’re waiting for Dark Void to come out, Capcom would like you to try Jetpack Attack, a simple and relatively fun version of the game. You’re still playing as Will, Dark Void’s protagonist, but you’re basically using your jetpack to go around shooting baddies of all random sorts while collecting power-ups, destroying things, destroying more things, and facing a giant mech boss that looks like something out of Star Wars.
Mega Man and Doom 2 Mashup Equals 8-Bit Descent To Hell
Ever thought Mega Man and Doom would go well together? Yeah, me neither, but Mike Hill, a 22-year-old diehard Doom fan from the UK, has a Mega Man mod for Doom 2 in the works. And it actually looks kind of promising.
“I’ve been modding for Doom ever since I first got a hold of the PC version … some may find it hard to believe that the Doom modding scene is still live and kicking after all these years,” Hill told Joystiq.
The mod, still in alpha stages, calls back a time that Hill feels when “Mega Man was in full fruition: on the NES,” using not just an 8-bit sprites for characters but for entire levels. Hill hopes that the mod will eventually contain all the levels and weapons from Mega Man 1–6, and possibly Mega Man 9.
Mike promises more levels and more weapons in 2010, as well as more stable gameplay. So, mod, Mike! Mod for everlasting peace!
TimeWasters: Man Hunter

TimeWasters highlights many of the excellent Web-based/lightweight downloadable titles that you can dive into within the space of a lunch break. This week, Chris Gampat explores Man Hunter.
If you remember and loved Duck Hunt, then lock and load your mouse and get ready to stalk some different prey: humans! Man Hunter is a game that allows you to take aim at your fellow man’s hilarious stereotypes and use loads of weapons while doing so. Additionally, you get to use an arsenal of different items to help you accomplish this goal, and after playing for a little while you’ll really, really be relaxed.
