Don’t think that this iPad port of NBA Jam’s 2010 rebirth is a lesser game. iPad-friendly controls and an updated roster makes this the definitive NBA Jam, despite missing a few console modes. It’s more than worthy of our 2D-X Excellence Award.

This week, before New York Comic Con, PlayStation Blog hosted an event independent yet still sorta part of New York Comic Con where folks could try out Sony’s Mii-too, the PlayStation Move. The moment I walked in and saw the boxing, karaoke and sports games I let out a sigh, then a growl: “Those damn casuals!”

But I learned to just let go, and sing Lady Gaga in between two gyrating gymnasts.
