I have seen the end of the world, and it has zombies. In fact, Infector: World Domination is literally all about zombies taking over town after town, and country after country. It’s not a simple game, but a couple of clicks with a mouse allows you to really lay siege to the entire world. Plan it all out carefully as you’ll really need it later on.

If you like smashing random things and goblins, then this is the TimeWaster for you (considering you don’t get much time to smash things as per the laws of modern cubicle warfare). Troll Rage is a simple game with simple controls and simple music for the simple-minded person. No, you will not be trolling on the forums of 4chan, but instead taking out that rage on all items around you.

I’ve always had dreams of taking over the world through use of bacon, but Galactic Colonization (a very simple, extremely frustrating, and seriously addicting game) doesn’t allow for that. Instead,  it’s about spreading your civilization quickly, upgrading, and hoarding resources. Move fast, or you’ll end up at the bottom of the food chain.

TimeWasters is a column highlighting many of the excellent Web-based/lightweight downloadable titles that you can dive into and finish in the space of a lunch break. This week, Chris Gampat explores Jetpack Attack.

While you’re waiting for Dark Void to come out, Capcom would like you to try  Jetpack Attack, a simple  and relatively fun version of the game. You’re still playing as Will, Dark Void’s protagonist, but you’re basically using your jetpack to go around shooting baddies of all random sorts while collecting power-ups, destroying things, destroying more things, and facing a giant mech boss that looks like something out of Star Wars.

TimeWasters is a new column highlighting many of the excellent Web-based/lightweight downloadable titles that you can dive into and finish in the space of a lunch break. This week, Chris Gampat explores Gretel and Hansel.

If you’re bored during the lunch hour or at a slow day of work, you may want to give Gretel and Hansel a try on your computer. Based off the famous fairy tale, you find yourself navigating different puzzles that can actually be quite tricky unless you pay attention. While the graphics seem like something synonymous to a fairy tale from hell, they really do work for the overall feel of the game. If anything, the artwork is right up there with the gameplay.
