Bit Trip Fate Concept 640x360 Bit.Trip Fate concept art

In typical Gaijin Games style, the concept art for the newest Bit.Trip game looks awesome.

It’s called Bit.Trip Fate. It’s the fifth game in the series and looks completely different from the previous 2D-friendly style of the series.

While the picture only reveals lava in a cave with a skinny, shiny version of Lost’s Smoke Monster, possibilities abound. According to the internet,  it’s a shooter – and a completely different take on the genre, at that. Meat Boy will make an appearance in the game as well.

How does Commander Video fit into all of that? More will be revealed at PAX Prime this weekend. Stay tuned.

About - News and Culture Editor Laurie Vazquez really misses when all games were flat. Sure, she’s worked in television and veered off into film and television writing, but when she’s not whacking out scripts for contests (or, more likely, when she should be whacking them out) she fires up her beloved flat games. Take away her Nintendo, and she is a sad, sad girl. Just don’t take away her Futurama or her viola: that makes her mad.
