[The first entry in this E3 2010 wishlist mini-series saw Jeffrey L. Wilson detail his hopes for the big show. This time out, Lead Reviewer Tim Torres shares his dreams of E3 2010.]

It’s tough for me get excited about motion controls and mysterious hardware, so I’ll focus on the software I’d love to see and play. The following is what my fanboy heart hopes will be announced, conveniently broken down by what I access to be the chances of it happening.

Most Likely to Happen
Square shows off Parasite Eve 3
Aya Brea, it’s been too long. We know this one’s coming, though all we have so far are a handful of blurry screenshots and concept art. Let’s finally see some gameplay, eh Square?

Square shows off Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy XIII games
Remember when FFXIII was announced, oh, 4-5 years ago? Two other games were as well: Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Final Fantasy Agito XIII. Since then we just got some screenshots and a spiffy trailer for Versus. It’d be nice to see, or better yet, play these PS3 and PSP exclusives.

Capcom announces Monster Hunter Portable 3rd for U.S.
Thanks to Monster Hunter Tri the series is finally gaining steam in America. Capcom would do well to announce the recently-revealed Portable 3rd for U.S. fans.

EA reveals Mirror’s Edge 2
Apparently it’s in development. It’s been a while since the last one making it high time for sequel news. Refined combat, a longer campaign, co-op and versus multiplayer, and a return of the fantastic graphics and music. Game of the Show material right here!

Less Likely to Happen
Nintendo revives its ignored franchises: Star Fox, Kid Icarus, Kirby
They were all in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and Kirby Super Star just came out on Virtual Console. It’s not like they’re forgotten, So why can’t Fox fly again? Kid Icarus shoot? Kirby… suck?

Nintendo reveals a sequel to Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures
The original GameCube game was a pain in the ass to play since you had to gather four Game Boy Advance systems, four link cables and four friends, but once all those powers combined it was a blast. In this wireless, high-speed age we need it available for this generation’s Nintendo systems.

Capcom reveals Resident Evil Portable
All we know is that it might exist. Y’know what would be great? Something like a handheld Resident Evil Outbreak. Bring back Raccoon City, bring back our favorite characters–make it something like the Mercenaries mini-game from RE4 and RE 5!

Everbody announces Great Original IPs
I love a good sequel. I also love original, creative material, which we’re sure to see from indie developers at least. It’d be nice if the big boys offer some new big-budget titles, too. Now, excuse me as I whine for more sequels.

Not Bloody Likely to Happen
Zone of the Enders 3, Mega Man Legends 3, Shenmue 3

We’ve been asking and yearning and nagging. For, like, a decade. Hideo Kojima’s been teasing us with the prospect of a new ZOE for a while now, Keiji Inafune made Lost Planet with the intention of using its engine for an eventual MML sequel, and SEGA, uh, has nothing left to lose at this point.

Leon Kennedy shows up in Marvel vs. Capcom 3
MvC3‘s announced. Hurrah. It looks good. Yippie. If Capcom wants me really excited though, they need to include my favorite Resident Evil twerp in the game, the Dan Hibiki of their horror franchise – Leon S. Kennedy! With RE2 and RE4 costumes, cheesy taunts (“You’re small-time!”) and an intense rivalry between him and beefcake Chris Redfield. Make it happen!

EA reveals its mysterious project with Shinji Mikami and SUDA 51
Announced like a hundred years ago, we’re still waiting for info.

Nintendo announces a huge Virtual Console sale
Unlikely, but how sweet would it be? Very.

Microsoft’s XBox Live service goes free
LOL.
