[How To is a recurring feature in which we demonstrate techniques designed to improve your game, and make your skill set more than a little bit awesome. This time out, we’ll help you download PSP games to your PS Vita.]
If you’re one of the Sony faithful who purchased the original PS Vita pre-order bundle, congrats! You should have the shiny, new handheld in your abode right this minute. With the likes of Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 as launch titles, the PS Vita has no shortage of compelling titles–unless you have a hankerin’ for PSP titles, that is.
But fear not! You can indeed play PSP games on your PS Vita and, thankfully, it’s a relatively simple process. There are 275 PSP games that are currently compatible with the PS Vita–here’s how to get ‘em, courtesy of the PlayStation Blog.
1. Purchase PSP games from the PS Vita’s PlayStation Store and download them to your system. If you’ve already purchased a game via
PSN SEN, you can redownload it from the Download List.
2. If you’ve already got one of the PS Vita-compatible games on your PS3 XMB (or have purchased them from the PS3’s PlayStation Store), you can connect your PS Vita to the PS3 via the included USB cable, and transfer the game via PS Vita’s on-board Content Manager.
3. Boom! That’s it! Now you can play Art of Fighting on your new portable.
