[How To is a recurring feature in which we demonstrate techniques designed to improve your game, and make your skill set more than a little bit awesome. This time out, we’ll help you snap PS Vita screenshots.]
So you’re breaking off a competitor a lil’ sum’thin sum’thin in Mortal Kombat. Just as you’re executing your fatality, it dawns on you that maybe you should save this sweet victory for future gloating. You can! The PS Vita has a built-in screenshot utility that lets you save those critical beatdowns as JPEG file.
Ready to rock? Here’s how to take screenshots on your PS Vita.
1. Insert a memory into the PS Vita. This is vital, because you’re unable to take screenshots without it.
2. Next, simultaneously press the PS button and the Start buttons.
3. “Saving…” will appear on-screen as the PS Vita saves the image to your memory card. This can take a few seconds. Warning: The gameplay doesn’t pause while you’re taking the screenshot, so if you’re snapping an action scene you may bite the bullet.
4. Return to home screen.
5. Open “Photos” to find your screenshot.
That’s it! Simply connect the PS Vita to your computer and use the clunky Content Manager software to transfer the image JPEGs to your desktop, or attach it to a tweet if you have the LiveTweet Twitter client installed.
