Those who can, do; those who can’t, buy Wii games and pretend they can.

Fortunately for the latter, Hyperkin has developed a series of accessories for the Nintendo Wii to bring professional gaming fantasies to life. Each attachment is made with a soft foam material that’s kid friendly and won’t weigh down gamers as they play baseball or tennis with their friends. To add a bit of realism to the experience, each swing of your racket or bat creates a loud and solid  “pop” sound similar to what you would hear if you were actually hitting a ball, but, unfortunately the sound occurs even when you whiff. It shouldn’t be a dealbreaker if casual sports titles like Wii Sports are more to your liking rather than MLB 10: The Show.

Sporting a $19.99 MSRP, each accessory (available in white, pink, or blue) is priced to move, and if you’re looking for reliability and safety then the money won’t be wasted. Your only real issue will be with finding storage space for the rackets since they’re fairly large, but I suppose that’s the price you pay for most gaming accessories anyway.

So what’s the verdict on the Wii Sound Plus accessories?  My girlfriend hasn’t stopped playing with it since I got it so either it’s a decent product or I need a new girlfriend. You can find these along with some other really cool products for the Wii and other systems at Hyperkin‘s website.

About - Born in the Bronx and raised in Miami, Thomas Rivas has lived in almost every state at some point, so he’s decided to finally hang his hat where it all started. He’s a pretty big fan of comic book lore and some sci-fi, but anything with a great story catches his attention.
