Slasher Film Icons Kill One Another in Terrordome: Rise of the Boogeymen (PC)

Ever since Freddy’s ragged gloved hand dragged Jason’s equally ragged mask to Hades in Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday, slasher flick fans have been clamoring for cinematic mass murderer crossovers. Although they finally got Freddy vs. Jason a decade later, it only included two blood-thirsty madmen – - what of the rest? Hur4c4n’s Terrordome: Rise of the Boogeymen lets you pit all of your favorite decapitators against one another in a bloody brawl. And it won’t cost you a cent.

Terrordome: Rise of the Boogeymen has a star-studded cast that consists of:

  • Freddy
  • Jason
  • Michael Myers
  • Ash
  • Chucky
  • Leatherface
  • Ghostface

Featuring high-definition, CG-rendered graphics that evoke a digital-realistic look that made Mortal Kombat 3 and Pit Fighter stand out from the ’90s fighting game glut, Terrordome: Rise of the Boogeymen is available as free download for Windows-based PCs. In my heart I’d like to think it costs zero dollars to you because of the developer’s altruism, but the gray matter tells me it’s to keep Hollywood’s lawyers from foaming at the mouth.

I’m a Mac guy, so a member of the 2D-X team will be tackling the hands-on duty of this hack-n-slash fighter. Maybe, just maybe, this will be Jason Voorhees’ redemption after the NES’ Friday the 13th.

How long will it take for arguments to break out over which monster is better.

FYI: Ash is the most badass!
