2099 Spidey all but official for Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions

For those of you that are comic book lovers (especially of the Spider-Man franchise) you may be pleasantly surprised to know that Spider-Man 2099 is pretty much locked to make an appearance in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions according to screenshots dug up by All Games Beta.

For those of you not involved in the web of knowledge, Miguel O’Hara, a geneticist, dons this uniform after gaining his powers from a gene-splicing incident. New technology takes play and O’Hara even has venomous fangs. Furthermore, Venom 2099 was a reanimated corpse! This world is very different from that of Peter Parker’s in what is one of Marvel’s many potential future timelines.

We expect to see some very awesome things (hopefully at E3 2010) come from this game as the only other amazing superhero game was Batman: Arkham Asylum.

    The side scrolling 2D Spider man games have been very well made, especially Spider Man 3 and Web of Shadows.

    I’m talking about the Nintendo DS Spider man games.

    Hopefully the PSP or DS will have a 2D version of this new SpiderMan game.
