With each new series entry, I became more enthralled with the Belmont saga; Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse added multiple pathways and selectable characters, including series favorite Alucard; Super Castlevania IV reinvented Drac’s castle into a darkly gorgeous structure filled with some of the most emotion-stirring tunes of the 16-bit era; Castlevania: Bloodlines was a tough, but fun romp. Plants vs. Zombies brings the long-fought 2D war to the Nintendo DS.
At the same press suite I played MvC3, I got my hands on the debug version of Okamiden, where I warped to the middle of the game via a Windows DOS-like menu. The PR rep on hand had me play a story-specific mini-game, similar to FFVII‘s snowboarding or motorcycle segments, which had me flying Chibiterasu and companion through a windy storm.
