The Nintendo DSi XL was announced not long ago for the American market, despite having been available in Japan for years. With the DSi able to be an eBook reader (along with more books coming soon) one can think that with the larger feel and screen of the DSi XL that it may be better for eBooks and more versatile than something like the Kindle.
