A portion of the city’s subway system is now adorned with 8-bit art inspired by Pac-Man and Super Mario Bros. As such, you can find clouds, mushrooms, pipes, ghosts, ladders, and other elements from old school games. Bit Rebels has several shots of the retro-themed tile art that is worth a gander if you’re a fan of ol’ school visuals.
Artist and retailer Mighty Fine released two new T-shirts that feature Marvel Comics’ Avengers and X-Men, but in pixelated, retro-sexy, Sword and Sworcery-like 8-bit form. The 8-bit X-Men T-Shirt (available in Black and Gray) features 8-bit models of the original mutant team consisting of Cyclops, Beast, Jean Grey, Angel, and Iceman. The 8-bit Avengers T-Shirt (available in Black, Gray, and White) showcases Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, and Hulk.
Game designer Eric Ruth is back again with another 8-bit adaptation of a present day title.
