It has some problems, but it’s good to have the Blue Blur back in a good game again.
Check out the YouTube video from our 2D-X TV channel for a few details about Sonic 4 iPhone, a demonstration of the nifty rotation effects, accelerometer and virtual D-pad controls, and a quick history lesson about the process of resurrecting the 2D adventures of everyone’s favorite attitude-filled hedgehog from the early days of Project Needlemouse to the final stamp of approval. All in all it looks like a winner with charming graphics, old school loopy video game music, slick level design, and an incredible sense of speed.
SEGA is finally kicking the speed up a notch for Sonic’s latest adventure.
Retro fans will love SEGA’s old school-flavored fall lineup.
No Dreamcast 2 announcement. No extra characters revealed. Sonic 4′s delayed, and will appear on Apple’s platforms. That is all.
Some new screen shots of Sonic 4 were leaked showing off Dr. Robotnik. Remember how annoying he could be when facing off against him in the old school version of Sonic? Well, we’re proud to tell you that your old nemesis looks like he hasn’t aged a day in his life. He’s also still back to building those weird machines to get his dirty work done. It’d be interesting to see just how complicated and smart he’s become. You used to just have to jump off of springs and come down hard on him a couple of times to take him out. Maybe the old Doctor never heard of extra armor.
