Dead or Alive fans have reason to rejoice: Team Ninja has finally revealed Dead or Alive 5 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and it’s marketing the game as “fighting entertainment.”
Although it doesn’t have the hall of fame players (at least by name) the classic, simplistic gameplay packs enough lighthearted punch that will keep fans playing for hours on end.
If you follow my game-related ramblings on Twitter, you know that I recently spotted a Tecmo Bowl Throwback plug on one of ESPN‘s late afternoon/early evening sports programs. As a long time fan of the franchise, I was admittedly geeked; not just for the exposure that the legendary series has garnered, but also for the [...]
Whispers of Tecmo Bowl Throwback made its rounds through the internets a few weeks back, but now the game has crossed over from the realm of rumor to that of reality. Tecmo Bowl Throwback aims to stay true to the Tecmo Super Bowl legacy (except without, you know, the NFL roster–thanks, EA!) by including 8-bit [...]

Sports commentators often [...]

It’s quite easy to forget that in the early-to-mid ’90s, the Buffalo Bills boasted one of the best lineups in the National Football League. Although it’s infinitely easy for the simpleminded to poke fun at the Bills four consecutive Super Bowl losses (1990 vs. the New York Giants, 1991 vs. the Washington Redskins, and 1992/1993 [...]
