For those of us with an epic case of, “teh noms” you may want to check out Sushi Cat. What’s even better is because of the fact that you’ll be feeding a cat in the game, you can go on to say that you’ll be having lunch with your kitty. It’s the first TimeWaster I’ve done in a while that has actually made me smile because the game is actually very cute and it satisfies me at the same time.
After reading my mini-review of Civilization Wars, readers and players have been wondering how to beat the Turtle Boss in the game. He’s rough. Really rough. In this followup, I’ll tell you all how to beat the Turtle Boss, the Scorpion Boss, and the Octopus Boss.
If there is something better than ancient little people trying to kill other ancient little people like in Civilization Wars, then it had better be a free version of Total War. Otherwise, this is a pretty damned good game. It even saves your progress depending on what computer you’re on. If you’re bored at work or during your new day of unemployment, then you’ll probably want to check this out.
TimeWasters highlights many of the excellent, free Web-based/lightweight downloadable titles that you can dive into within the space of a lunch break. This week, Chris Gampat explores Troll Rage. We talked earlier about the 8-Bit version of Left 4 Dead that dropped this month. After some quality time with it I can tell you that this is the most addicting game I’ve ever epic failed in. Yes, it’s a tough game even in the easier difficulty. On top of this though, the music is awesome and the controls take a little bit of getting used to. While you may not be able to download this at work and play, it’s highly suggested that you give it a shot at home. More after the jump.
Galactic Colonization is a very simple and extremely frustrating game that is seriously addicting. I’ve always had dreams of taking over the world through use of bacon, but this game doesn’t allow for that. The game is about spreading your civilization quickly, upgrading and hoarding resources, etc. Move fast, or you’ll end up at the bottom of the food chain.
While you’re waiting for Dark Void to come out, the developers would like you to try out this simple, standard and relatively fun version of the game that they call Jetpack Attack. You’re still playing as Will, the game’s protagonist but you’re basically using your jetpack to go around shooting baddies of all random sorts while collecting power-ups, destroying things, destroying more things and facing a giant mech boss that looks like something out of Star Wars. More after the jump.
If you remember and loved Duck Hunt, then lock and load your mouse and get ready to hunt some different prey: humans! Man Hunter is a game that allows you to take aim at your fellow man’s hilarious stereotypes and use loads of weapons while doing so. Additionally, you get to use loads of different items to help you accomplish this goal and after playing for a little while you’ll really, really be relaxed.
TimeWasters is a new column highlighting many of the excellent, free Web-based/lightweight downloadable titles that you can dive into and finish in the space of a lunch break. This week, Chris Gampat explores Gretel and Hansel. If you’re bored during the lunch hour or at a slow day of work, you may want to give [...]
