rise-of-nightmares-08

SEGA tried to do some interesting things here and sadly came short, due to the horrible controls and voice acting. The concept is interesting, and maybe with a bit more polish the came could have been a winner. But this is not the case; instead you’re left with a short, forgettable experience that’s more trick than treat.

Rage

All in all, RAGE is a great game and a great way to pass the time. If you want a shooter that will have you working for the kill and giving you that small RPG thrill; go for RAGE. If you want that shooter where you can take online and get some top kills with your friends, look somewhere else. In fact, that’s the only reason why the game doesn’t walk away with a 2D-X Excellence Award. The ending is a bit abrupt; it’ll have you waiting in front of your television for more…and then you’ll see the credits roll. It wasn’t a true cliffhanger, but don’t be surprised if id announces RAGE 2.

TekNmotion Yapster Blaster Gaming Headset (PC/Xbox 360)

TekNmotion has given gamers a slice of the luxurious life (at a budget price!) with the Blaster Amplified Universal Headset for the Xbox 360 and PC. This isn’t just a gaming headset; with its multiple adaptors you will be able to use it to place VoIP calls and listen to music, podcasts, and audiobooks. As a self-proclaimed audiophile, I was amazed and surprised that the $30 Blaster sounded so crisp and clear, thanks to the 40mm Neodymium bass drivers, and TekNmotion’s patented XJacKer Soniq Rush amplification technology. Overall, TekNMotion’s headset is an excellent package, with the only negative being its somewhat cumbersome console cabling setup.

Most of you have already rid Sera of the Lambent and the Locust horde by now, and are probably wondering what else there is to do in Gears of Wars 3 besides mix it up in online multiplayer. The developer has included an epic amount (see what I did there?) of Easter Eggs on the disc that require you to hunt quite a bit to find them. If you don’t want waste precious time searching instead of shooting, check out this guide. Warning: there are SPOILERS ahead!

Captain America game

Captain America: Super Soldier is a HYDRA-bashing good time, even if the game is way too easy.
